Each year thousands of visitors enjoy hundreds of activities developed and laid on by some of the UK’s major manufacturers, engineering organisations and education establishments. Visitors can learn at first hand about the importance of modern engineering in our everyday life and how things are designed and made. There are opportunities for close-up, hands-on inspection of some breath-taking engineering and technology used in production and defence not normally seen by the public. Youngsters are able to meet young engineers who have successfully chosen the engineering and technology career path.

The Imagineering Fair is a major part of the Royal Bath & West Show in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, winning the Gold Award for Best Feature in Show for three consecutive years. Imagineering has also partnered the Royal Navy at Yeovilton International Air Day at RNAS Yeovilton, Ilchester, Somerset and works alongside the Royal Air Force at the Royal Interational Air Tattoo at RAFFairford near Cirencester. Other regular events include the Big Bang, London Model Engineering Exhibition and a large Midlands Imagineering Fair, previously held at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire.
